Governor Ododo Mourns With APC Chairman Over Mother’s Demise

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has joined friends, associates, and political leaders across the country in mourning with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, over the passing of his mother, Mama Lydia Goshwe Yilwatda.

In a condolence letter made public on Monday in Lokoja, the Governor described the late matriarch as “a pillar of faith and love whose life was marked by devotion to God and humanity.”

He noted that her legacy was evident in the leadership qualities and service to nation that Prof. Yilwatda continues to demonstrate.

“On behalf of the government and people of Kogi State, I extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family,” Ododo said. “Mama Lydia’s life of sacrifice and virtue will continue to inspire many, even beyond her immediate family.”

The Governor prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved family and eternal rest for the soul of Mama Lydia, assuring the APC National Chairman of his thoughts and prayers in this period of grief.
