Trailblazing Nigerian Women Honored in ’65 Women of Impact’ Awards

As part of its commitment to recognizing excellence and leadership, the Arise Group has unveiled its list of 65 outstanding Nigerian women set to receive the prestigious ‘Women of Impact’ award.

The announcement, made on Arise News’ Morning Show on Wednesday, featured an impressive lineup of honorees, including Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy. She was recognized for her innovative contributions to advancing Nigeria’s creative industries and cultural heritage.

Other notable nominees included First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her steadfast advocacy for women’s empowerment, and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, globally renowned for her pivotal role in economic development. Joining them are H.E. Amina Mohammed, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagha, and Ojinika Okpe of Arise News.

Additionally, distinguished ministers such as Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim (Women Affairs), Doris Uzoka Aniete (Finance), Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu (Foreign Affairs), and Jumoke Oduwole (Trade and Investment) are among those acknowledged for their outstanding leadership in governance and policy-making.

Scheduled to take place on March 30, 2025, at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, the award ceremony forms part of the International Month for Women celebrations. The event will serve as a platform to spotlight the vital roles women play in Nigeria’s political, economic, and social landscapes while inspiring future generations to aspire for greatness.

The ‘Women of Impact’ award underscores the significance of recognizing female leaders and change-makers, amplifying their contributions to national progress. Organizers reaffirm their commitment to honoring these influential women and fostering an environment where gender inclusivity and excellence thrive.
