Nigeria Partners Futuretech to Boost Cultural Soft Power, Tourism
The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy (FMACTCE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Futuretech to enhance Nigeria’s global cultural presence through the Destination 2030; Nigeria Everywhere initiative.
The MoU established a strategic framework for collaboration, focusing on global communications, creative leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
Under the agreement, Futuretech will serve as the brand custodian for the initiative, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand identity across various platforms.
At the signing ceremony, the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musawa, highlighted the significance of the partnership in Nigeria’s economic diversification efforts.
The special Adviser on media and publicity to the minister, Dr. Nneka Ikem Anibeze in a statement quoted the minister,
“This is indeed a full-circle moment, as Futuretech has been an integral part of the ministry’s evolution. Nigeria’s soft power is extraordinary, and through this collaboration, we have a tremendous opportunity to reposition our nation globally,” Musawa stated.
She further emphasized the initiative’s role in job creation, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for empowering Nigeria’s young population through the creative industry.
“Destination 2030; Nigeria Everywhere is our vehicle to share our creative and cultural products with the world while creating sustainable economic opportunities for our people,” the minister added.
Futuretech’s Country Manager, Itohan Izugbokwe, expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting the potential of merging the company’s innovative branding approach with the ministry’s cultural vision.
“We are committed to positioning and amplifying Destination 2030, Nigeria Everywhere as Nigeria’s cultural soft power and tourism brand, showcasing Nigerian culture and creativity to the world,” Izugbokwe said.
As part of the partnership, the ministry will provide institutional support and official endorsements to bolster promotional efforts and international outreach. Futuretech’s strategic communications arm, Futuretech The Practice, will assist in navigating complex business challenges while amplifying Nigeria’s creative industry globally.
The event was attended by key stakeholders, including Jumai Abdu Ali, Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development, and Elvis Subor, PR & Digital Marketing Officer at Futuretech.
With this agreement, Nigeria is taking a significant step toward leveraging its cultural assets to boost tourism and global recognition, positioning itself as a hub for creativity and heritage on the international stage.
