Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Peter Obi, has paid a condolence visit to businessman and social commentator, Isaac Fayose, following the death of his wife.
Obi visited Fayose to express his sympathy and offer prayers for the repose of the deceased, describing the loss of a loved one as a painful experience that requires compassion and support.
The condolence visit came shortly after Obi visited former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, to sympathise with him over the passing of his mother.
Obi’s visit to Fayose has drawn public attention because it followed the businessman’s recent meeting with Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, which sparked widespread reactions on social media and fuelled speculation about Fayose’s political leaning.
However, political observers have described Obi’s visit as a humanitarian gesture that transcends political affiliations, noting that the NDC presidential candidate has consistently reached out to individuals during moments of personal grief regardless of political differences.
