Peter Obi Celebrates With Muslim Families, Calls for Unity and Justice

Presidential candidate the Nigeria Democratic Congress(NDC) Peter Obi, has joined Muslim families across Nigeria and the world in celebrating Maulud Nabi, the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Obi, in a message to the Muslim Ummah, described the occasion as an opportunity to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings on compassion, justice, humility, honesty and service to humanity.

He said the teachings of Prophet Muhammad continue to offer guidance on peace, tolerance and the pursuit of the common good.

Obi urged Nigerians to draw lessons from the Prophet’s life, particularly his emphasis on unity and fairness.

“As we commemorate this sacred day, I pray that Allah (SWT) grants us the wisdom to follow the noble path of the Prophet; a path of unity, fairness, and love for one another, regardless of tribe, religion, or region,” he said.

The former presidential candidate prayed for peace and progress in Nigeria, expressing hope that the Maulud celebration would bring renewed optimism to Nigerians.

“May this Maulud bring renewed hope, peace, and progress to our nation,” Obi said.

He also prayed for divine protection for Nigerians and urged the country’s leaders to serve the people with sincerity and justice.

“May Allah bless Nigeria, protect our people, and guide our leaders to serve with sincerity and justice,” he said.

Obi wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful and spiritually uplifting Maulud Nabi.

“I wish the entire Muslim Ummah a joyful, peaceful, and spiritually uplifting Maulud Nabi,” he said.
