NASSI, Zamkah Target Global Markets for Nigerian Small Businesses

Campaign

The Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) and Zamkah Technologies are partnering to prepare Nigerian entrepreneurs to transform small businesses into globally competitive brands.
The initiative will feature at NASSI’s 35th National Convention, scheduled for December 1, 2026, in Abuja.
NASSI National President, Chief Solomon Daniel Vongfa said the convention would connect entrepreneurs, promote business partnerships and explore ways to strengthen Nigeria’s domestic economy.
He said the association was committed to building an economy driven by local production and private enterprise, with less dependence on government.
Vongfa said the convention would provide opportunities for business owners to access training, workshops, seminars and staff development programmes.
These initiatives, he added, would help entrepreneurs improve their business operations and compete more effectively in local and international markets.
“As an organisation with the key function of advocating government policies that make it easier to run a small business in Nigeria, the convention would explore possible avenues for business models that suit businesses and make them competitive,” he said.
Founded in 1978, NASSI promotes micro, small and medium-scale enterprises across Nigeria.
The association also works to improve access to finance through partnerships with institutions, including the Bank of Industry, to help members access funding, loans and grants.
Vongfa said NASSI would continue to organise trade fairs and exhibitions to showcase locally made products and connect entrepreneurs with potential markets.
He stressed that expanding Nigeria’s domestic production required better financing, improved product quality and stronger business capacity.
“We are determined to see that Nigeria remains not only the giant of Africa on paper but in reality,” he said.
Vongfa said achieving that ambition would require sustained efforts to strengthen local industries and equip entrepreneurs with the resources needed to compete internationally.
The convention is expected to explore practical strategies for promoting entrepreneurship, expanding local production and positioning Nigerian small businesses for global opportunities.
