The suspect and the recovered exhibits have since been handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and necessary action.

The Command said efforts were ongoing to track down the alleged supplier and identify other individuals connected to the consignment, including its intended recipients.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, commended the operatives for their vigilance and professionalism.

Kankarofi reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to intelligence-led policing, sustained stop-and-search operations and collaboration with relevant agencies to curb the trafficking and distribution of illicit drugs.

He urged residents to provide credible information that could help security agencies identify and dismantle criminal networks operating within the state.
