JAMB Releases 2025 UTME Results, Majority Score Below 200

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with over 1.5 million of the 1,955,069 candidates scoring below 200.

In its statistical breakdown released Monday, JAMB revealed that only 420,415 candidates scored above 200, while less than 1% managed to score above 300. Additionally, 75% of candidates recorded scores below the 200-mark threshold.

The board also announced that 2,157 candidates are currently under investigation for alleged examination malpractices. Among the 40,247 underage candidates allowed to participate on grounds of exceptional ability, only 467 (1.16%) met the defined threshold for outstanding performance.

Furthermore, 71,701 candidates were marked absent, and others with biometric issues are still being reviewed for possible rescheduling. Results for certain groups, including blind candidates and JEOG candidates, are still being processed.
