FCT-IRS Assures Staff of Stability, Vows to Sustain Revenue Drive
The Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has reassured workers and stakeholders of uninterrupted operations, declaring that the agency remains stable, united, and focused on delivering its revenue mandate despite recent reports of planned disruptions by unauthorized external actors.
In a statement signed by management, the Service dismissed insinuations of internal crisis, stressing that its relationship with the recognized Staff Union remains peaceful and cooperative.
The agency warned that any unauthorized individuals seeking to destabilize its activities or incite unrest would face legal consequences, insisting that the institution would not tolerate actions capable of undermining the integrity of tax administration in the FCT.
FCT-IRS management called on employees to stay committed to their duties and ignore misinformation, adding that proactive steps have already been taken to guarantee staff safety and maintain a secure working environment.
The Service noted that its ongoing revenue expansion efforts are aimed at supporting the infrastructural transformation agenda championed by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, as well as the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Reaffirming its commitment to workers’ welfare and career growth, management said continuous engagement with staff representatives through recognized channels remains key to sustaining industrial harmony and achieving long-term institutional goals.
