Those who have followed governance closely in the state can attest that new things are happening. From the revival of heritage institutions to groundbreaking initiatives in security, infrastructure, and transportation, Governor Okpebholo is redefining what is possible.
One of the symbolic projects of this renaissance is the revival of Edo Line Transport Service—a brand that once stood tall as a state identity across Nigeria. Today, its rebirth is no longer a promise. Offices are being opened in various states, and a fleet of newly commissioned buses is ready to restore the state’s pride in public transportation.
From the very first day he walked into Osadebe Avenue, Governor Okpebholo has held firmly to the promise that “Edo has Risen.” This is not mere rhetoric—it is a vision grounded in reality and powered by daily actions. The path to change requires patience, cooperation, and collective understanding. Not every issue can be solved overnight, but under his watch, every challenge is being addressed deliberately and strategically.
The governor is fully aware of the flooding and drainage issues that plague parts of the state during heavy rains. These challenges are neither ignored nor underestimated. They are on his priority list—and solutions are already in motion.
Consider the Mobile Barracks recently established in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area. This bold initiative is designed to combat the growing threat of gunmen who harass farmers in rural communities. It is a clear signal that the safety and security of Edo people—particularly in vulnerable areas—remain non-negotiable.
Governor Okpebholo is not just ticking boxes; he is changing narratives. His administration is driven by a determination to deliver the dividends of democracy across critical sectors—and in just six months, Edo people have begun to feel the impact. The energy he brings to governance is inspiring a fresh wave of confidence across the state.
