Echocho: Kogi’s Journey is Our Collective Pride at 34

As Kogi State clocks 34, Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho), representing Kogi East, has described the anniversary as a celebration of resilience, unity, and shared progress.

In a heartfelt message, Echocho saluted Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Deputy Governor Joel Oyibo, and the people of Kogi0 for keeping the dream of the founding fathers alive. He also paid tribute to the heroes, past and present, who labored to give the state its identity and purpose.

“Kogi’s story is one of hope and growth,” he noted, stressing that the state has come of age through the collective sacrifices of its people. He expressed pride in the strides made under Governor Ododo, describing his leadership as a beacon that is reshaping the future and renewing confidence in what the state can achieve.

For Echocho, the 34th anniversary is not just a milestone for government, but a moment for every citizen to take pride in how far the state has come and to recommit to building together. “This is our story—every farmer, every teacher, every young person dreaming of a brighter tomorrow is part of the journey,” he said.

The senator prayed for wisdom and strength for the state’s leaders, urging Kogites to keep faith, support one another, and look ahead with courage and hope.
