A prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Gumel, Maigatari, Gagarawa and Sule Tankarkar Federal Constituency, Colonel Babandi Abdullahi Mago (Rtd), has stepped up grassroots consultations and stakeholder engagements across communities in Maigatari Local Government Area as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
During a tour of several communities, Colonel Mago emphasized the importance of party unity, loyalty and collective commitment in strengthening the ADC’s prospects in the forthcoming elections.
The ADC stalwart, who is a close ally of the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, reaffirmed his dedication to mobilizing support for the party and expanding its grassroots presence across the constituency.
Accompanied by party officials and supporters, Mago visited Galadi, Dankumbo, Fulata, Madana, Kuka Yasku, Jajeri and Turbus, where he held consultations with party faithful, community leaders and key stakeholders.
He commended ADC members across the state for the confidence they demonstrated in Senator Nakudu through his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate, urging them to remain united and focused on securing victory for the party in 2027.
According to him, sustained grassroots mobilization, internal cohesion and strategic engagement with communities will be critical to the ADC’s success at the polls.
Mago also called on party members to strengthen the bonds of solidarity within the party and work collectively towards building a formidable political structure capable of delivering electoral success across Jigawa State.
The consultations, observers say, form part of ongoing efforts by ADC leaders to consolidate support at the grassroots and position the party for a strong showing in the 2027 general elections.
