Uche Nwosu Commends Ex-FUTO VC Nnenna Oti for Transformational Leadership

Former Chief of Staff to a former Governor of Imo State, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, has praised the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Professor Nnenna Oti, for what he described as her transformative leadership and enduring contributions to the institution’s growth.
Nwosu made the remarks while hosting the former Vice-Chancellor in Abuja, where he lauded her achievements in repositioning the university for greater academic excellence and institutional development.
According to him, Professor Oti’s visionary leadership, commitment to excellence and dedication to duty left a lasting legacy that placed FUTO on a stronger path of progress.
He noted that her administration recorded notable milestones that have continued to attract commendation from stakeholders within and outside the academic community.
Describing her tenure as one defined by innovation, purposeful leadership and far-reaching reforms, Nwosu said her accomplishments have become a source of inspiration, particularly for women in leadership and the education sector.
He added that her stewardship demonstrated how integrity, competence and service-driven governance can transform higher education institutions.
“Her leadership, vision and dedication have left a lasting impact on the university community. I applaud her for the remarkable transformation witnessed at FUTO under her watch,” Nwosu said.
He also expressed confidence that Professor Oti would continue to make meaningful contributions to national development and educational advancement in future public service roles.
