Eid-el-Fitr: Yar’Adua Calls for Unity, Honors Armed Forces’ Sacrifices
Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua, Senator representing Katsina Central Senatorial District, has congratulated Muslims on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan 1447AH, and called for renewed commitment to unity, compassion, and national development.
In a message to mark the celebration, the senator expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for the privilege of witnessing the end of the holy month, noting that Ramadan embodies the values of sacrifice, discipline, and empathy for the less privileged.
He urged Muslims to carry forward the lessons of the season—truth, patience, generosity, and forgiveness—into their daily lives, stressing that these virtues remain essential to building a peaceful and progressive society.
Yar’Adua also paid tribute to the Nigerian Armed Forces, commending their courage and unwavering dedication in defending the nation against security threats.
“At a time when our nation continues to face security challenges, the commitment and bravery of our Armed Forces stand as a source of hope. Their sacrifices must be met with collective support and national solidarity,” he stated.
He called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in supporting efforts to strengthen peace and security across the country, emphasizing that meaningful development is only possible in an atmosphere of stability.
The senator offered prayers for divine acceptance of acts of worship during Ramadan, forgiveness of shortcomings, and continued guidance for the nation’s leaders and citizens.
“Eid Mubarak to all Muslims in Katsina Central, across Nigeria, and around the world. May Allah bless our nation with enduring peace, unity, and prosperity,” he said.
