Group Applauds Gov Namadi’s Strategic Investment in Peace, Safety

The Civil Society Coalition on Peace, Security and Conflict Resolution (CPSC-CR) has commended Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State for his administration’s renewed commitment to strengthening security operations and promoting peace across the state.
In a statement issued in Dutse by the coalition’s president, Comrade Muhammad Musbahu Basirka, the group lauded the governor’s recent donation of utility vehicles to security agencies, describing it as “a bold and strategic intervention that will boost law enforcement capacity and enhance rapid response to threats.”
Basirka noted that the gesture reflects Governor Namadi’s broader vision of ensuring sustainable peace and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
“Effective security depends on intelligence sharing and prioritizing preventive measures over reactive force,” he said, stressing the need for synergy among government institutions, civil society, traditional rulers, and the media to sustain peace and public trust.
The statement highlighted the Namadi administration’s consistent collaboration with security agencies, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders in tackling violent extremism, cross-border crimes, and farmers–herders conflicts through dialogue, mediation, and peacebuilding programmes.
CPSC-CR also urged both the Federal Government and state authorities to strengthen community policing frameworks and deepen intelligence sharing to effectively combat insecurity nationwide.
Reaffirming its dedication to peacebuilding and inclusive governance, the coalition pledged to continue working with all stakeholders to foster transparency, social cohesion, and good governance in Jigawa State.
“We remain fully committed to supporting Governor Namadi’s vision of building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous Jigawa,” the statement concluded.
