Jigawa APC Vows to Punish Indiscipline, Members Promoting Disunity

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State has vowed to take disciplinary action against any member or group found spreading rumors or promoting disunity within the party.
In a press statement titled “A CAUTION FOR THOSE UNPATRIOTIC THAT INTEND TO THROW JIGAWA STATE INTO DISREPUTE,” issued and signed by the State APC Secretary, Mr. Muhammad Dikuma, the party warned all members to refrain from making comments or statements that could undermine the unity of the party.
According to the statement, “The APC Jigawa State Chapter, having reviewed recent events in the state, wishes to sincerely affirm that some dissenting voices concerning the government of Jigawa State under Mallam Umar Namadi stem from a lack of understanding of governance dynamics.”
The statement further clarified that “the APC, as a party of the people, does not support any attempt—whether direct or indirect—to sow discord or confusion within the government of Governor Malam Umar Namadi.”
Mr. Dikuma condemned the recent media reports as deliberate efforts to tarnish the government’s image and distract from its achievements. “These media outcries are attempts to undermine the excellent services being delivered to the people of Jigawa State,” he said.
The party also warned those spreading rumors and ill-feelings through the media, stating such acts intend to create chaos and discontent.
“The Governor and the serving Minister of Defence enjoy a good working relationship aimed at promoting Jigawa State to greater heights,” the statement added.
Mr. Dikuma urged all voices to contribute to fostering an atmosphere of freedom, liberty, and progress in the state so that the benefits of democracy can be fully realized.
He concluded by asserting that the APC and the Umar Namadi administration will respond swiftly to any attempts to ridicule, blackmail, or bring the government into disrepute. “The party will take appropriate measures, including legal action, against any unpatriotic individuals seeking popularity through divisive acts.”
