The Yobe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated campaign coordinators for the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The state APC Chairman, Alhaji Mohammad Gadaka, inaugurated the Baba Malam Wali (BMW) campaign coordinators in an effort to strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilisation.
According to Gadaka’s Press Secretary, Hajiya Sa’adatu Maina, the BMW initiative is designed to engage APC supporters and mobilise voters for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Mai Mala Buni and the party’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Baba Malam Wali.
Maina disclosed this in Damaturu, saying the appointment of the coordinators was part of efforts to build a stronger campaign structure across the state.
She said the move also followed recent reconciliation efforts by the APC leadership to unite different political groups and reconcile aggrieved aspirants after the party’s primaries.
The party said the new structure would help strengthen internal unity and improve voter mobilisation across Yobe ahead of the 2027 elections.
The development is expected to give the APC a wider grassroots presence as political activities gather momentum ahead of the polls.
