Yar’Adua Cruises Through APC Katsina Central Primary, Rallies Party for 2027 Battle
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has handed Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua a major political boost after he emerged victorious in the party’s senatorial primary for Katsina Central, positioning him firmly for the 2027 general election contest.
The closely watched primary, held amid growing political calculations ahead of 2027, reaffirmed Yar’adua’s influence within the ruling party and underscored the APC’s determination to retain its grip on Katsina State.
Reacting to the outcome, the senator described the victory as a shared triumph for party loyalists, delegates, and supporters across the district, thanking them for what he called an overwhelming show of trust and confidence.
“Alhamdulillah, with a heart full of gratitude, I sincerely thank the good people of Katsina Central Senatorial District for your overwhelming support and confidence in me,” he said.
Yar’adua also applauded Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing leadership that has strengthened internal democracy within the APC, while commending Dikko Umaru Raɗa for sustaining political stability in the state.
He further praised the APC leadership for overseeing what he described as a peaceful and credible primary process.
With the APC already tightening its structures ahead of the next election cycle, Yar’adua called on party members to close ranks and work collectively toward securing another victory for the ruling party in 2027.
Political observers view the outcome as a significant early statement of strength for the APC in Katsina Central, a key battleground in the North-West political landscape.
