Olu of Apata celebrates 11 years on throne, applauds Gov. Ododo on security

A traditional ruler, the Olu of Apata, Oba Frederick Balogun, has commended the efforts of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, at curtailing the widespread security challenges in the state.
The monarch gave the commendation while addressing the people of Apata kingdom in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi as part of activities marking his 11 years on the throne.

He commended the governor and security agencies in the state for maintaining peace and security in their prompt response to check criminal activities, saying that without peace and security, “there can’t be any development.”
Oba Frederick Balogun pledged more purposeful leadership and enhanced development of his kingdom under his reign.
Balogun, who has just been appointed member, Governing Council of Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute (NKFI) by Gov. Ahmed Ododo, ascended the throne of his forebearers on Oct. 7, 2014 .
He described his 11 years rulership in Apata-Ipatun as divine, tasking, and well garnished with lessons of divine directions that could be termed “gracious and successful.”
According to him, his desire for the people and Kogi, is peaceful coexistence, unity and collective progress as legacies for the younger generations.
He thanked God, who in His mercy, counted him worthy to ascend his fathers’ throne and keeps leading his people up to this period of time in good condition of health.
“I’m indeed grateful to God, my wife and children, Olu-lagedu Royal Dynasty, the council members, Apata-Ipatun sons and daughters both at home and abroad, Ipatun kingdom Apata/Obajana for their unwavering support,” he stated.
He also thanked the governor and the deputy governor, the Speaker, KSHA; Secretary to Kogi State Government, Chief of Staff, Commissiner for LGCA, Lokoja LGA Chairman, Chairman, Kogi Kotonkarfe/lokoja Area traditional Chairman.
He further extended appreciation to chairman Lokoja LG traditional council chairman, chairman and paramount ruler of Oworoland, friends amongst others for their supports that have made the journey so far momentous. (Ends)
