Natasha Visits Abonyi Family to Mourn Late Senator Isah Obaro Abonyi
Lawmaker representing Kogi Central senatorial district, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, on Sunday visited the family of late Senator Isah Obaro Abonyi, describing his passing as a great loss to Kogi Central, Kogi State and Nigeria.
She noted that the death of the former lawmaker representing Kogi Central has created a significant vacuum in the community and in the history of Kogi’s political leadership.
During the visit, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan encouraged the family to find solace in the remarkable life he lived, recalling his integrity, courage and contributions to national development.
She prayed for God’s strength and consolation for the entire family during this difficult time.
Born on 20 August 1934 in Okene, Alhaji Isah Obaro Abonyi served as a Senator in 1979, representing the then Okene/Okehi constituency, now known as Kogi Central.
Senator Isah and Abonyi lived to the age of 90 and remained a highly respecte¹d elder statesman.
