Minister Hannatu Musawa Loses Mother, Buries Her in Abuja

The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, has lost her mother, Hajiya Fatima Binta Ladi Musa Musawa.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Minister’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Dr. Nneka Ikem Anibeze, Hajiya Fatima passed away after a brief illness.

Born on August 15, 1955, in Gusau, Zamfara State, the late matriarch was described as a woman of deep faith, humility and unwavering commitment to her family and community.

In accordance with Islamic rites, funeral prayers were held at the National Mosque in Abuja on Saturday before her remains were laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetery.

She is survived by six children, including the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; Katsina State Commissioner for Special Duties, Zainab Musawa; and Special Assistant to the President, Hajiya Hadiza Ali.

The Musawa family and the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy expressed appreciation for the condolences and prayers received from government officials, colleagues, stakeholders in the creative sector and other well-wishers.

They prayed for Allah to grant the deceased Al-Jannah Firdaus and give her family the strength to bear the loss.
