Kogi Voices Demand Recognition for Etsu-Lokoja Stool

Community leader and Nobamna of Emi-Woro, Prince Nda Abu, has urged Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to begin the process without delay, saying it’s a matter of fairness and justice.

Speaking during a solidarity visit to Etsu Lokoja, HRH Emmanuel Dauda Shelika, Prince Abu hailed the monarch for giving the Bassa-Nge people a sense of pride and identity. He noted that historical records show the Bassa-Nge were the earliest settlers of Lokoja.

In his response, the Etsu-Lokoja said the quest for recognition is legitimate and not in conflict with any existing stool, expressing optimism that the state government will soon act to set history straight.
