Momentum is building in support of a possible presidential bid by Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, as a coalition of his supporters in Jigawa State has pledged to rally widespread backing for him should he decide to join the race for Nigeria’s highest office.
The group, comprising representatives from all 27 local government areas of the state, declared its support during a strategic meeting in Dutse, where members described Olawepo-Hashim as a leader with the capacity to unite the country and confront its pressing challenges.
Speaking at the meeting, the state coordinator of the movement said Olawepo-Hashim’s record of public service, commitment to national development, and advocacy for a more inclusive Nigeria have continued to attract growing support across the country.
He maintained that the politician’s leadership style and vision for governance have positioned him as a credible alternative at a time when many Nigerians are demanding fresh ideas and effective solutions to the nation’s economic and social concerns.
The supporters pledged to embark on aggressive grassroots mobilisation across Jigawa, saying they are prepared to deliver substantial support if Olawepo-Hashim declares his intention to contest the presidency.
They expressed confidence that his leadership credentials, national outlook, and commitment to unity could inspire a broad coalition of Nigerians seeking a new direction for the country.
The meeting concluded with a renewed call on Olawepo-Hashim to answer what participants described as a growing demand for visionary leadership capable of steering Nigeria towards greater stability, prosperity, and national cohesion.
