Ekinrin Monarch Hails Ododo’s Commitment to Preserving Traditional Authority
The Akinrin of Ekinrin, Oba Johnson Kolade, has praised Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo for his demonstrated respect and support for the traditional institution.
Oba Kolade, speaking during a courtesy visit at the Government House in Lokoja, commended the governor for recognising the role of traditional rulers as custodians of culture, peace, and unity. He noted that such recognition strengthens grassroots governance and fosters harmony among communities.
The monarch lauded the administration’s inclusive approach to decision-making and urged Governor Ododo to sustain policies that protect cultural heritage while promoting development across the state.

Governor Ododo, in response, reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with traditional rulers, describing them as “indispensable partners in securing the state and advancing socio-economic progress.”
The meeting ended with mutual pledges to continue collaboration in sustaining peace and promoting the cultural values of Kogi State.
