Defence Minister Visits Kaduna Military Institutions, Reaffirms Government Support
The Honourable Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, has kicked off a two-day working visit to strategic military institutions in Kaduna State.
The Minister’s first stop was the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), where he conducted an extensive inspection of ongoing infrastructure projects and new facilities aimed at enhancing the training and welfare of cadets and officers.
Major General A.K. Ibrahim, the NDA Commandant, welcomed the Minister and provided detailed insights into the academy’s current academic and operational activities.
He praised the Federal Government’s commitment to upgrading the academy’s infrastructure and acknowledged Minister Badaru Abubakar’s leadership in supporting defence education and capacity building.
In his remarks, Minister Badaru Abubakar commended the NDA for its professionalism and progress, assuring the institution of sustained government support to meet its strategic mission.
The Minister toured key parts of the academy, including the Hall of Fame, the under-construction Centre of Excellence and Senate Building, the Postgraduate School, and the Centre for Innovation and Creativity, highlighting the government’s investment in cutting-edge military education and research.
On Tuesday, June 3rd, the Minister continue his engagement in Kaduna with visits to Buffalo Engineering Technical Services (BET) and the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), reinforcing the government’s commitment to military readiness and technological advancement.
