Critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office, citing their performances at the national and state levels.
The declaration was made during an APC stakeholders’ meeting in Lokoja, where party leaders affirmed their commitment to mobilizing full grassroots support for the President, the Governor and all APC office holders in the area.
According to the leaders, the APC under President Tinubu has demonstrated impactful governance both nationally and across the states, while Governor Ododo has sustained development strides in Kogi State—factors they said justify a second-term mandate.
At the council level, the stakeholders also endorsed the Ankpa Local Government Chairman, Hon. Engr. Adamu Muhammed Yahaya; the Vice Chairman, Hajiya Halima Imam; and the 13 Ward Councillors of the 8th Legislative Council for another term.
Convener of the meeting, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, expressed gratitude for the impressive turnout, describing it as a strong sign of unity within the party.
He praised the chairman, vice chairman and councillors for what he described as “remarkable service delivery,” rating their performance at 80 percent — a score he said reflects dedication, efficiency and responsiveness to the needs of Ankpa communities.
Speakers at the event emphasized that Engr. Adamu’s inclusive leadership, alignment with party principles and consistent delivery on his mandate were key reasons for the unanimous endorsement.
The motion for endorsement was moved by the member representing Ankpa I in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Akus Lawal, and seconded by Hon. Abbas Linco, member representing Ankpa II.
With full confidence expressed in the council leadership, stakeholders pledged unwavering support for the administration, assuring Engr. Adamu of a stable and distraction-free tenure through 2027.
They further reaffirmed their resolve to mobilize massive grassroots backing for President Tinubu and Governor Ododo, describing both leaders as “a necessity for sustaining the development trajectory of Kogi State and Nigeria.”
The meeting was attended by prominent party stalwarts including Hon. Musa Ishaka, APC Zonal Organiser for North Central; Rt. Hon. Rabiu Isiaka Alfa, Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters; and Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, Zonal Security Adviser to the Governor for the Ankpa Federal Axis, among others.
In his vote of thanks, the Ankpa Council Chairman, Engr. Adamu Yahaya, appreciated the stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him and pledged, on behalf of his team, not to disappoint the people of Ankpa. He also thanked Governor Ododo for his unwavering support.
