Adebayo Mourns Rev. William Okoye

Celebrates Legacy of Faith, Unity and Service

Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo, has mourned the passing of the founder and leader of All Christians Fellowship (ACF), Abuja, Rev. William Okoye, describing his death as a monumental loss to the Christian community and the nation.
In a condolence message, Adebayo paid glowing tribute to the late cleric, whom he described as one of Nigeria’s most respected Christian leaders, saying his life was marked by unwavering devotion to God, service to humanity and a lifelong commitment to national unity.
According to Adebayo, Rev. Okoye’s ministry reached far beyond denominational lines, touching countless lives through his teachings, exemplary character and dedication to promoting holiness, integrity and selfless service.
He said the late preacher remained a consistent advocate of truth, peace, justice and reconciliation, using his platform to encourage moral leadership and inspire generations of Christians to live lives rooted in faith and righteousness.
Adebayo noted that Rev. Okoye devoted his life to nurturing leaders of integrity while strengthening the Christian faith across Nigeria, adding that his contributions to the spiritual and moral development of the country would remain enduring.
“Nigeria has lost a distinguished Christian father whose impact will continue to inspire generations,” he said.
The SDP presidential candidate extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of his family, the Social Democratic Party and Nigerians who cherish integrity and faithful service to the family of the deceased, the leadership and members of All Christians Fellowship, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), and the wider Christian community in Nigeria and around the world.
While expressing grief over the cleric’s passing, Adebayo urged Christians not only to mourn but also to celebrate the remarkable legacy Rev. Okoye left behind through his steadfast commitment to God and humanity.
Drawing strength from Revelation 14:13, he reminded believers of the biblical assurance that those who die in the Lord find rest from their labours, while their righteous deeds continue to speak long after they are gone.
He prayed that God would comfort the bereaved family, friends and the entire Church, grant them the fortitude to bear the loss, and raise more faithful servants to continue the mission and values to which Rev. William Okoye dedicated his life.
“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace in the bosom of our Lord,” Adebayo said.
