Ododo Hails Oyebanji’s Re-election, Says Nigerians Trust APC’s Leadership

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election as Governor of Ekiti State, describing the victory as a strong endorsement of good governance, continuity and the progressive ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, Governor Ododo said the outcome of the election reflected the confidence of the people of Ekiti State in Governor Oyebanji’s leadership and the achievements recorded under his administration.
According to the Kogi governor, Oyebanji’s people-centred policies, prudent management of resources, infrastructure development initiatives and inclusive style of governance have earned him widespread support among the electorate.
Ododo noted that the re-election victory demonstrated the desire of Ekiti residents to sustain the developmental strides witnessed in the state, adding that the electorate had chosen continuity and stability.
He also linked the outcome to what he described as growing public confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC, arguing that the party’s governance record at both the national and state levels continues to resonate with Nigerians.
“The people of Ekiti State have spoken loudly through the ballot. They have rewarded performance, vision and commitment to service. Governor Oyebanji is doing well in Ekiti State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is providing purposeful leadership for Nigeria, and the people have once again demonstrated that they know the party they can trust,” Ododo stated.
He described the election result as not only a personal victory for Oyebanji but also a reaffirmation of public support for progressive governance and responsible leadership.
The governor expressed confidence that the new term would enable the Ekiti State governor to consolidate achievements in critical sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and economic development.
Ododo further assured Oyebanji of continued cooperation between Kogi and Ekiti states, while wishing him wisdom, strength and success as he begins another term in office.
