The Association of Proprietors of Private Media Establishments of Nigeria (APPMEN) has paid glowing tribute to fathers in the media industry, describing them as unsung heroes whose contributions extend beyond their homes to the strengthening of democracy and national development.
In a Father’s Day message released on Sunday, APPMEN National Coordinator, Chief Precious Enebuse, praised media proprietors and professionals across the country for balancing the demands of family life with the challenging responsibility of informing and educating the public.
The association noted that fathers in the media sector often make enormous sacrifices to keep radio stations, television outfits, newspapers and digital platforms running while also providing for their families and mentoring the next generation.

APPMEN also recognized the contributions of those who prioritize staff welfare, nurture young journalists and build enduring media institutions that serve their communities and strengthen democratic values.

The association offered prayers for good health, strength and prosperity for fathers and father figures within the media industry, expressing hope that their media organizations and families would continue to thrive.
