Eid-el-Fitr: Kogi Assembly Clerk Urges Unity, Reaffirms Commitment to Staff Welfare

The Clerk of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Ahmed Suleiman Chogudo, has called on Nigerians to sustain the spirit of unity, sacrifice, and discipline cultivated during Ramadan as Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
In his 2026 Sallah message to the people of Kogi State and staff of the legislature, Chogudo described Ramadan as a period of reflection, gratitude, and spiritual renewal, urging citizens to carry its values into everyday life.
The message, signed by the Deputy Clerk (Administration and General Services), Mr. Aka Adebayo Michael, emphasized the need for collective responsibility in building a more peaceful and prosperous society.
Call for Peaceful Coexistence
Chogudo stressed the importance of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among Nigerians, noting that unity remains essential for sustainable development.
He urged Muslims to extend the virtues of patience, compassion, and selflessness beyond the fasting period, adding that such values are critical to strengthening social harmony.
Commendation for Legislative Staff
The Assembly Clerk commended staff of the legislature for their dedication and professionalism, describing their contributions as vital to the effective functioning of the Assembly.
He encouraged them to remain focused and committed to delivering quality legislative support services.
Commitment to Workers’ Welfare
Reaffirming management’s commitment to staff welfare, Chogudo highlighted ongoing efforts to improve working conditions, promote capacity building, and enhance productivity within the Assembly.
He assured workers that their well-being remains a top priority.
Support for Government Initiatives
Chogudo also praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for prioritising workers’ welfare and inclusive governance, noting that such policies are key to driving sustainable development in the state.
He urged residents to remain law-abiding and continue supporting government programmes aimed at maintaining peace and fostering growth.
