NDC Rolls Out Digital Membership Portal to Drive Nationwide Expansion

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken a significant step toward strengthening its national presence with the launch of a digital membership registration portal in Abuja.
At a well-attended unveiling ceremony, the party’s National Leader, Henry Seriake Dickson, joined National Chairman Cleopas Moses and National Secretary Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, alongside other key stakeholders, to introduce the platform designed to simplify membership enrolment and boost grassroots mobilisation.
Dickson said the initiative reflects the party’s ambition to build a forward-looking political movement that leverages technology to connect with Nigerians across all regions, including those in the diaspora. He noted that the portal allows individuals to register from anywhere while ensuring a reliable and well-managed membership database.
According to him, the NDC has witnessed an encouraging wave of interest since its emergence, with Nigerians from diverse backgrounds signalling readiness to support the movement.
“We are positioning ourselves as a truly national platform—open, inclusive, and driven by democratic ideals,” he said.
Acknowledging the realities of digital access gaps, Dickson explained that the online system would run alongside manual registration to accommodate citizens in underserved communities. Party officials at state, local government, and ward levels will oversee the distribution of physical forms.
He argued that rising public discontent has created a demand for new political alternatives, adding that the NDC is stepping forward to fill that space with a fresh approach focused on unity, development, and ideology-driven politics.
Also speaking, Moses described the portal as a tool for transparency and efficiency, saying it would not only ease the registration process but also strengthen internal coordination and citizen engagement.
“This is about opening the party to every Nigerian who wants to be part of a new direction,” he said.
Officials added that the platform enables prospective members to complete their registration online and access digital membership cards, positioning the initiative as a key driver of the party’s nationwide expansion and participation agenda.
