The Etsu Lokoja, His Royal Highness (HRH) Emmanuel Akamisoko Dauda Shelika – Nyamkpa IV, has expressed deep condolences to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the passing of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo.
In a condolence message signed by Alhaji Abdullahi Ndashitte Abubakar, President of the Nupe Natives of Lokoja Development Union, the monarch described the late patriarch as “a father-figure, a silent achiever and a righteous guide whose wise counsel helped shape governance in Kogi State through the leadership of our dynamic Governor.”

Shelika said the news of Pa Ododo’s demise came as a rude shock, noting that his legacy of humility, love for humanity, and devotion to Allah (SWT) would remain indelible.
“On behalf of my people, the Native Nupe of Lokoja and our Chiefs, I extend our deepest condolences to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the entire Ododo family and indeed the whole of Kogi State. We pray the Almighty comforts you with the fortitude to bear this loss and grants the departed Aljannah Firdausi,” the monarch said.
The Etsu Lokoja further urged the Governor to take solace in the enduring legacies of his late father, whom he described as a man of faith whose life exemplified the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, father of the Governor, died on Monday in Abuja at the age of 83.
