NAF releases names of 25 victims killed in Ondo plane crash

The Nigerian Air Force has released the names of the 25 people killed in Monday’s aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State, comprising five crew members and 20 passengers.
The victims died when NAF aircraft NGR 931 crashed while on a routine flight from Benin to Lagos.
The Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said search-and-rescue teams were immediately deployed in collaboration with local authorities and emergency responders.

He confirmed that there were no survivors among the 25 people on board.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, expressed deep sorrow over the crash and condoled with the families, colleagues and loved ones of the victims.
Aneke has ordered a comprehensive investigation to establish the cause and circumstances of the crash.
The NAF appealed to members of the public to avoid speculation and the circulation of unverified reports as the investigation continues.

It also said further verified information would be released as the probe progresses.
A condolence register has been opened at the NAF Headquarters in Abuja for government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, security chiefs and other sympathisers.
