The Jagaban Grassroots Movement has expressed confidence in Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, to deliver a strong electoral victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Kogi State in the 2027 presidential election.
The group said Ododo’s appointment as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council reflects confidence in his leadership, organisational skills and commitment to the party.
In a statement by its Coordinator, Hon. Samuel Obasun, the group also welcomed Ododo’s designation as Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign, saying it would strengthen grassroots mobilisation across the state.
Obasun described the appointment as well deserved, noting that Ododo had helped sustain party unity and discipline while strengthening the APC’s political structure in Kogi.
He said the governor’s role would motivate party members and supporters to work harder for Tinubu’s re-election.
“The appointment of Governor Ododo as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Council is well deserved. His appointment as the Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign will further spur all the Ododo foot soldiers to work harder and deliver Kogi State to Mr President,” Obasun said.
The group also cited federal projects and interventions under the Tinubu administration, as well as programmes of the Ododo government, as evidence of cooperation between both administrations.
According to Obasun, investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and security could strengthen support for the APC ahead of the election.
He assured that members of the Jagaban Grassroots Movement and other APC supporters in Kogi would work with the campaign structure to mobilise voters and secure a strong mandate for Tinubu.
