The All Progressives Congress candidate for Ekiti South Federal Constituency I, Engr. Toyin Okoro, has unveiled an agenda centred on infrastructure, employment, education and healthcare ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election.
Okoro, in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Friday, said his campaign would focus on addressing development gaps and improving the economic prospects of constituents.
Campaigning under the slogan “Okorokoro Onaa”, translated as “The Main Road and The Good Road to Prosperity,” the APC candidate said Ekiti South needed legislative representation driven by competence, accountability and measurable results.
He identified road infrastructure as a major priority, promising to pursue projects aimed at opening up communities and boosting trade and economic activity.
Okoro also pledged to push for youth employment and skills development while supporting farmers and small businesses to expand economic opportunities within the constituency.
On social services, he promised to advocate improved access to quality education and better-equipped healthcare facilities across Ekiti South.
“At the National Assembly, I will provide effective legislative representation, sponsor people-oriented bills, and ensure that Ekiti South receives its rightful share of federal projects and interventions,” he said.
The candidate said his agenda was consistent with the APC-led Federal Government’s Renewed Hope programme and its stated commitment to inclusive development.
He added that Ekiti South needed a representative capable of effectively engaging federal institutions and attracting development projects to the constituency.
“Ekiti South deserves a voice that commands respect in Abuja and delivers results at home. Engr. Toyin Okoro offers tested capacity, integrity, and alignment with the APC’s commitment to Renewed Hope and inclusive growth,” he said.
Okoro called on constituents to support his candidacy, describing it as an opportunity to pursue what he termed purposeful and result-oriented leadership.
His campaign has also adopted “Igba Otun De”, meaning “The time is right,” as its mobilisation slogan ahead of the 2027 elections.
