Labour Party Honors Pa Adebanjo, Welcomes New Members in Lagos

The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure, has paid tribute to the late Pa Ayo Adebanjo, celebrating his role as a pillar of the party’s growth and a champion of democracy.

During a visit to the Adebanjo family in Lagos, Abure highlighted how Pa Adebanjo’s wisdom and leadership helped navigate challenges, particularly in Lagos, strengthening the party’s position in the last general election.

“Whenever challenges arose, he would summon me to Lagos, and together, we found solutions. His unwavering commitment to justice, democracy, and the rule of law shaped our movement,” Abure said.

The event also marked a significant expansion for the Labour Party, as Abure welcomed hundreds of new members, led by Hon. Bartholomew Chima OmoBarca. In a show of party growth, he commissioned the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Secretariat, donated by OmoBarca.

Key figures, including Lagos 2025 governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and FCT Chairman Dr. Dayo Ekong, attended the gathering.

Abure reassured the Adebanjo family of the party’s continued support, emphasizing that Pa Adebanjo’s legacy would remain a guiding force for the Labour Party and Nigerian democracy.
