Timi Frank Blasts Sham Elections in Tanzania, Cameroon, Ivory Coast
***Demands Sanctions and Global Action to Save African Democracy
Political activist and former APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Timi Frank, has issued a sharp condemnation of the recent elections in Tanzania, Cameroon, and Ivory Coast, calling them “sham exercises” and “a disgrace to Africa.”
“These were not elections—they were selections, riddled with manipulation, intimidation, and political violence,” Frank said. “Africa’s people are being silenced while leaders cling to power through fraud.”

He warned the international community, including the UN, US, and EU, against legitimising these results. “If nothing is done, systematic rigging will spark unrest and fuel more coups across the continent,” he said.
As ULMWP Ambassador to East Africa and the Middle East, Frank called on the International Criminal Court to hold the leaders accountable for electoral violence and loss of lives. “Targeted sanctions must be imposed on those who have destroyed democracy in their countries,” he insisted.
Frank slammed the greed and corruption of African leaders, saying they have abandoned the vision of founding fathers such as Kwame Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela, Julius Nyerere, Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba, Modibo Keita, and Haile Selassie.
“The Africa we see today is not the Africa our heroes dreamed of. Their vision of unity, one currency, and one passport has been replaced by selfishness and deceit,” he said.
He called on African youths to rise: “Those who died defending their votes are heroes. The new generation must resist oppression and fight for justice.”
Frank also warned Nigeria ahead of the 2027 elections: “Any attempt to subvert the people’s will will be strongly resisted. Nigerians will no longer remain silent.”
