Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan Distributes Grains to Ease Ramadan Hardship

Undaunted by the distractions over the six months suspension slammed on her by the Senate, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has in a strong display of commitment reached out to her constituents with food items across Kogi Central Senatorial District to ease the financial strain of Ramadan.
Chief Press Secretary to the senator, Israel Arogbonlo in a statement on Sunday, indicated that the initiative, which included 1,200 bags of beans and 1,200 bags of millet, is reaching people regardless of political affiliation, ensuring that families have access to essential food supplies during the holy month.
At the distribution event held in Okehi Local Government, former House of Representatives member, Hon. Abdulrahman Badamasiu, acknowledged that the exercise had faced delays due to unforeseen circumstances.
However, he emphasized that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s unwavering dedication to her people remains unchanged.

“This effort covers all 57 wards, reaching religious groups, market women, and grassroots organizations.
Senator Natasha is not just leading—she is serving, and her impact is felt across the district,” Badamasiu stated.

He also reassured constituents that the senator’s temporary suspension does not diminish her authority or commitment. “She has already achieved so much within just one year in office.

Her vision for empowerment and economic growth will continue,” he affirmed.
Looking ahead, he revealed that in the coming weeks, several constituents will undergo vocational training and receive resources to become self-employed—a testament to Senator Natasha’s long-term strategy for sustainable development.
As Ramadan enters its crucial last ten days, Badamasiu called on beneficiaries to keep the senator in their prayers, recognizing her continued efforts to uplift her people.
