Senate Army Committee Mourns Fallen Brigadier-General, Pledges Continued Support for Troops

The Senate Committee on Army has expressed grief over the death of Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah and other soldiers killed in the line of duty while battling insurgency.
Chairman of the Committee, Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, in a statement, described the deceased officers as gallant and selfless patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of the nation.
He commended the resilience, courage, and dedication of officers and men of the Nigerian Army, noting that their efforts remain critical to the fight against terrorism and the preservation of national security.
The Committee assured the military of the National Assembly’s unwavering support, particularly in providing the necessary legislative backing and funding to enhance operational effectiveness.
It encouraged troops to remain focused and determined, despite the challenges on the battlefield, emphasizing that their sacrifices are deeply valued by the nation.
The lawmakers also extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers, acknowledging their loss as one shared by the entire country.
They reaffirmed that the bravery and service of the deceased would continue to be honoured and remembered.
