Roxettes Motors drives South East industrial revival with Baze-x donation to SEDC

In a bold move to accelerate industrial growth in the Southeast, ROXETTES MOTORS, a leading indigenous automobile manufacturer, has donated a BLAZE-X PICK-UP TRUCK to the Southeast Development Commission (SEDC).
This strategic contribution, facilitated through the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (ECCIMMA), aims to enhance SEDC’s operational capacity as it leads economic revitalization efforts in the region.

The official handover ceremony saw Mr. Uzoma Ozigbo, representing ECCIMMA, present the state-of-the-art vehicle on behalf of ROXETTES MOTORS’ Chairman/Managing Director, Arc Kaycee Orji-Kelechi.

“We believe in the Southeast’s potential as an industrial hub, and mobility is key to achieving that vision. This BLAZE-X Pick-Up is a symbol of our commitment to supporting SEDC’s mandate in transforming the region’s economy,” Ozigbo stated.

SEDC’s Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Mark Okoye, personally test-drove the BLAZE-X and commended its durability, smooth handling, and advanced engineering.
“This vehicle is a testament to what we can achieve as a region. ROXETTES MOTORS is proving that world-class automotive manufacturing is possible in the Southeast, and SEDC will continue to champion local innovation,” Okoye affirmed.

The donation was made during the Southeast Engagement with the Organized Private Sector, an event designed to foster collaboration between businesses and government agencies. Attendees hailed the move as a significant step toward positioning the Southeast as a major force in Nigeria’s automotive industry.

The Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr. Joseph Osanipin, has consistently advocated for local vehicle production and policy-driven support for indigenous manufacturers. His vision for the Southeast as an automotive manufacturing hub aligns with ROXETTES MOTORS’ mission of driving industrialization, creating jobs, and fostering technological advancement.
“Nigeria must harness its potential in automotive manufacturing. Strategic partnerships like this are exactly what we need to push our economy forward,” Osanipin has emphasized in previous engagements.

Industry stakeholders and ECCIMMA members praised the donation, urging more private and government investments in homegrown automotive production. With its exceptional fuel efficiency, durability, and cutting-edge design, the BLAZE-X PICK-UP TRUCK is expected to boost SEDC’s capacity to implement economic projects, facilitate transportation, and enhance outreach initiatives across the region.

As ROXETTES MOTORS continues its journey toward sustainable mobility and automotive excellence, this donation serves as a powerful statement of its dedication to economic transformation, local manufacturing, and regional prosperity.
