The crisis within the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has deepened as Rep. Busayo Oluwole Oke, representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, officially announced his resignation from the party.

Speaking in Abuja, the senior legislator revealed that the decision followed extensive consultations with key stakeholders, including political allies, friends, and family members.
“After wide consultations, I have resigned from the PDP along with my supporters at all levels,” he confirmed.

Rep. Oke, who previously chaired the House Committee on Public Accounts and currently leads the Foreign Affairs Committee, submitted his resignation through a letter dated April 16, 2025, addressed to the PDP Ward 7 Chairman in Obokun Local Government Area.

He further disclosed that he had directed all his supporters in the National Assembly and across political offices to also withdraw from the party.

While he did not reveal his next political move, Rep. Oke urged his followers to remain calm and await further instructions as consultations continue.
