Onoja, Achuba Bury Hatchet, Signal New Chapter for Kogi Politics

In a rare show of humility and statesmanship, former Kogi deputy governor Edward Onoja has reconciled with his predecessor, Elder Simon Achuba, years after a political rift that divided them.
Onoja, who succeeded Achuba following his controversial impeachment, visited him in Abuja to “rub minds as brothers” and chart a course for Kogi’s progress. Dismissing speculation that he engineered Achuba’s removal, Onoja described him as a “respected strategist and elder brother.”
Analysts say the move could ease old hostilities and serve as a model for political reconciliation in Kogi and beyond.
