Kogi CP Stresses Synergy, Inter-Agency Collaboration for Safer State
By Friday Idachaba, Lokoja
The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Miller Dantawaye, has reaffirmed the need for synergy and inter-agency collaboration as critical tools for effective policing and safeguarding lives and property in the state.
Dantawaye made the call in Lokoja while receiving the newly deployed Comptroller of Immigration Services, Kogi Command, Mr Emmanuel Jenewari Tariah, who paid him a courtesy visit.
The Police chief emphasised that cordial working relationships between security agencies remain central to tackling emerging threats, pledging his commitment to a stronger partnership with the Immigration Service in securing Kogi.

Earlier, Comptroller Tariah said his visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration on migration management and internal security, stressing that no single agency could achieve success in isolation. He commended the Police for their pivotal role in crime prevention and assured of Immigration’s readiness to support joint operations, particularly in identifying and flushing out illegal migrants.
In a related development, the Kogi State Coordinator of the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), Dr Pappy Ajogu, also visited CP Dantawaye to seek security backing for effective enforcement of environmental laws. Ajogu said NESREA was determined to ensure a cleaner, healthier environment and urged Police support in enforcing compliance with national and international environmental regulations.
Dantawaye assured both agencies of the Police Command’s willingness to deepen cooperation for the overall peace and security of Kogi State.
