Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed Malammadori of Jigawa Northeast Senatorial District (APC) has constructed and fully equipped a Primary Healthcare Centre worth over N200 million in Yayari Ward, Hadejia, and handed it over to the Jigawa State Government.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Senator Malammadori said the facility was built to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s efforts in improving healthcare services.
“This hospital was personally built and equipped by me in response to the pressing need for quality medical care in the area. It is not part of any constituency project,” the Senator stated.
He added, “Our people urgently need this facility, and as their representative, it is my duty to serve and provide.”
Receiving the facility, Governor Umar Namadi commended the senator’s gesture, describing the structure as a top-standard medical facility comparable to those in Abuja.
“This is a solid project. It is the first of its kind from a distinguished senator. The government is constructing one clinic in each of the state’s 281 wards, and we’ve achieved about 70 percent so far. This contribution by the Senator is commendable, and I urge other federal lawmakers to emulate him,” the Governor said.
