HYPPADEC Disowns Fake Recruitment Portal

The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has disassociated itself from a purported recruitment portal inviting applicants for a technical and practical screening exercise into the commission.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Minna, the Head of Press and Public Affairs, Nura Tanko Wakili, described the information as false, misleading and baseless, stressing that the commission is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise.
According to the statement, the attention of N-HYPPADEC was drawn to a purported invitation for a technical and practical screening exercise allegedly scheduled to hold at the Kainji Hydropower Station, New Bussa, Niger State.
“The information is false, misleading and intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public,” the commission said.
It clarified that the invitation did not emanate from N-HYPPADEC, adding that there is no recruitment exercise ongoing within the commission at this time.
The commission urged members of the public to always verify information through official N-HYPPADEC communication channels to avoid falling victim to fraudsters, and advised them to disregard any such invitations or portals.
