Governor Ododo Pays Tribute to Late Senator Isah Obaro
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has mourned the passing of Senator Isah Obaro Abonyi, describing it as a profound loss for Kogi State.
Senator Obaro, who represented the area now known as Kogi Central Senatorial District (formerly part of Kwara South) in the Senate from 1979 to 1983, was celebrated for his unwavering dedication to public service and the development of his constituency.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, Governor Ododo lauded Senator Obaro as a statesman and patriot whose integrity, humility, and commitment to service earned him respect across the state and nation. He highlighted the late senator’s consistent engagement with community and political leaders, noting his valuable contributions to the progress and unity of Kogi State.
