It was a moment of pride and celebration in Lafia on Wednesday as Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, named the city’s newly completed flyover and underpass after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The energetic crowd at the commissioning ceremony roared with approval as Governor Sule unveiled the project’s new name—“Bola Tinubu Exchange Road”—a symbolic nod to the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and a bold statement of gratitude.

According to the governor, the ambitious one-kilometre dual carriage infrastructure was delivered without borrowing a single naira—proof, he said, that prudent management and political will can drive development even in challenging times.

“This project is inspired by President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision,” Governor Sule declared. “We did not borrow a kobo to make this happen. This is what leadership and discipline can do.”

President Tinubu, who inaugurated the infrastructure with a smile, praised Governor Sule for investing in people-focused development. He said the flyover wasn’t just concrete and steel—but a symbol of progress, unity, and economic revival.

“I see the future of Nigeria in projects like this,” Tinubu said. “You are building for the people, and I’m proud to be associated with this vision.”

The President also thanked the people of Nasarawa for the overwhelming reception and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building prosperity across all regions of the country.

The event capped off a day of excitement in the state, as traditional leaders, political bigwigs, and cheering residents gathered to witness the milestone in Nasarawa’s capital city.
