Gov. Ododo thanks officials for solidarity over father’s passing
Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has expressed heartfelt appreciation to government officials and political appointees for their support during the recent passing of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani.
In a message signed by the Governor, he described his late father as a pillar of strength, whose life exemplified humility, discipline, and service to God and humanity.
While acknowledging the deep pain of the loss, Governor Ododo said the overwhelming show of sympathy and solidarity from colleagues and well-wishers reaffirmed the unity and resilience of the people of Kogi State.
“From the Deputy Governor to every official, you stood with my family when we needed it most. Your actions brought comfort in our grief and lightened the burden of this irreparable loss,” he stated.

Governor Ododo further observed that the support transcended ethnic and religious lines, reflecting the vision of togetherness championed by his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, since 2016.
“On behalf of my family, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to all who identified with us. Your compassion is consoling, and may God Almighty bless you with wisdom, strength, and grace,” he added.
Reaffirming his commitment to sustaining peace, unity, and harmony in the state, Governor Ododo said the solidarity shown during his family’s difficult moment is a true testament to the collective strength of the Kogi people.
