Edo State Hosts Mega Trade Fair to Boost Economic Development

The Edo State Government has launched a mega trade fair aimed at promoting trade, creating wealth, and fostering economic development in the state. The 2024 mega trade fair, themed “Promoting Trade, Creating Wealth Through Linkages,” is being held at the Garrick Memorial Field in Benin City from August 19 to 24.

The event, organized by the Edo State Ministry of Business, Trade, and Cooperatives, has attracted a wide range of participants from various sectors, including agriculture, construction, oil and gas, ICT, and finance. The fair showcases a diverse array of products and services, highlighting the economic vibrancy of Edo State and Nigeria.

The opening ceremony was attended by top government officials, including the Commissioners for Finance, Public Safety and Security, Environment and Sustainability, and other dignitaries. The event has received strong support from partners such as Fidelity Bank, Gladtrico, Okomu, Presco, and Buams Multinational.

The trade fair aims to provide a platform for businesses to connect, build strategic partnerships, and engage in meaningful business exchanges. It also seeks to promote economic growth, create new opportunities for wealth generation, and showcase the state’s economic potential.
