The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has hailed today’s Court of Appeal ruling in Abuja that affirmed Dr. Farouk Rabi’u Mudi as the legitimate National President of the association.

The appellate court, presided over by Justice Gumel, dismissed the appeal filed by a faction led by Arc Kabiru Ibrahim, describing it as lacking merit and imposing a ₦200,000 fine against the appellant.

Reacting to the verdict, AFAN’s National Media Executive, Comrade Ibrahim Garba, commended the judiciary for “upholding justice and truth,” calling it a long-awaited victory for Nigerian farmers and the rule of law.

“This is a moment of relief and vindication for the authentic leadership of AFAN,” he said.
“We now call for unity across the agricultural sector and reaffirm our commitment to food security and government agricultural policies.”

He urged all stakeholders — including farmers, government agencies, and development partners — to recognize and work only with the court-affirmed leadership of Dr. Mudi.

Garba also called on Arc Kabiru Ibrahim and his supporters to accept the judgment and refrain from further actions that could disrupt the association’s unity.

Today’s judgment is expected to put a final end to the prolonged leadership crisis that has hampered AFAN’s operations for years.
